Wingfoil is the fastest-growing discipline in wind sports. On Lake Garda, with the reliable thermal winds of the Ora and the Pelèr, the conditions are ideal for learning.
Wingfoil combines a handheld inflatable wing with a board fitted with a hydrofoil. The wing catches the wind and drives you forward; the foil lifts the board out of the water — you glide in silence a few centimetres above the surface, with no spray and no wave noise.
Unlike kitesurfing there are no long lines: the wing is held in your hands, making the sport much more intuitive to pick up and very safe. Lake Garda, with its consistent thermal wind patterns, is one of the best learning spots in Europe.
Whether you want a taster or to learn to ride independently, we have the right course for you. All equipment is included: wing, board, foil, wetsuit and impact vest.
A taster session for anyone curious about wingfoil but not ready to commit to a full course. You learn to inflate and hold the wing, take your first steps in the water and find out if this is the sport for you. Perfect for groups of friends.
The structured starting point for learning wingfoil from scratch. Over two sessions you understand how to handle the wing, use Lake Garda's wind and start moving on the water independently — with the foil still submerged throughout.
The complete programme to reach your first flights. Four progressive sessions take you from wing handling all the way to foiling: that feeling of silence and weightlessness when the board lifts off the water and you start to fly.
Wingfoil has a faster learning curve than most wind sports. With Lake Garda's steady winds and the XKite method, many students achieve their first flights during the Full Course.
You learn to inflate the wing, grip the handles and use the wind window. First exercises happen on the beach and in flat, knee-deep water.
Standing on the foilboard, you use the wing's power to move across the water. The foil stays fully submerged — focus is on balance, direction and body position.
You start to feel the lift from the foil — the board begins to rise. You work on foot pressure, body trim and speed management to reach take-off safely.
The board lifts off the water. You glide in silence a few centimetres above the surface, supported only by the foil. You learn to hold the flight, turn and manage gusts.
