TO RIDE... ON THE BOARD!
Do
you fancy trying the emotion of the first ride?
We
will help you reach your goal through a specific course, concentrated on
water start and the riding tecnique; you will easily
make it, thanks to personalized lessons and the use of simulators to
improve your body position on the board.
As usual, you will have the complete equipment at your disposal (board, kite,
harness, helmet, life jacket...)
This course is intentionally
studied for whom has already attended a course, has learned to pilot a kite,
and is now ready for the water start tecnique and the first riding emotion. We
will guide you through the easiest and safetest way to be an indipendent rider.
The course
includes 4 lessons, alternating the theory and the practice in the water. It's
possible to have two lessons per day and finish the course in only two days,
according to the availibility of the instructor and the weather conditions.
First
lesson on-shore: being able to ride is the perfect combination between the right
mouvement of the kite and our balance on the board. Before facing the water we'll
study the water start and the riding thecniques with the aid of our didactical
videos and simulation exercices, to get to know the right balance/position on
the board.
Second and
third lesson, in the water:
ready to ride for the first time, we're going to practice the
water-start thecniques, the right way to pilot the kite, the perfect
balance of your body while riding in the direction we want to go (up wind,
down wind, across wind...). Last but not least, it's very
important to learn how to re-launch the kite, an important step towards
indipendance.
As usual, practice in the water is an individual and
personal part of the course:
it's a one-to-one lesson because the instructor, from the motor boat, will take
care of the students, one by one, choosing different exercices in order to meet
everybody's needs. The lessons are held in mini groups of 2-3 students, which
will go
into the water one at a time. The length is 2, 3 hours per lesson, according
to the number of the students.
Fourth
lesson, on shore: being able to
relaunch the kite, knowing the right of way in the water, and the self-rescue
procedures, estimating the weather conditions and the spot... everything
we need
to know if we want to be independent riders! This lesson will teach us
how to ride using the main safety rules.
The
instructor can decide to change the order of the lessons according to
the weather conditions, therefore a practice lesson could be held before
the theory one or viceversa.
Normally
the wind blows in the morning from 7.30am till 11.30am and in the
afternoon from 2.00pm till 5-6 pm;this is roughly the time table of the lessons.
The
total amount is 280 euros and includes:the lessons we just described, the use of the equipment during the lessons, the boat, our
workbook and the insurance, plus the annual membership fee (10 euros
the first year).
